UPDATE: The “Rustic Cabin in Bastrop” house is no longer there, as it has been resold and moved to a new location! The new parents have named my baby the Cowboy Cottage and it is headed to West Point, Texas to its next homestead. It was only back home for about 10 days before the new owners saw it and fell in love. We’ll update this with new location photos soon!

This is a great 12’ x 28’ house that is lived in full time by a young couple in their twenties with a 3 year old son. They have a master bedroom in one loft, a 2nd bedroom in the other loft, a day bed area downstairs, a full kitchen, full bath with antique cast iron tub. Their 6 x 12 back porch is screened in and has wood on the lower half of the walls. It also had a 6 x 12 front porch. The corrugated roof and antique Long Leaf Pine siding gave the look of a century of living in the woods and the corrugated lower half of the exterior gives a unique and beautiful look that is low maintenance and fits into the surroundings as if it grew up there. The heating through a 3 day deep freeze was only an oil heater radiator set at medium unless a meal was being cooked, in which case it was turned off. The built in bookcases and entertainment center house hundreds of LP’s and books along the shelves across from the big kitchen with a full stove, oven, fridge, and double sink.
