Memorial Day Weekend will be raining heavily, so why not shop at the biggest vintage building parts sale in history?

Thinking of things to do while the rain is pouring down on Memorial Day weekend, not that it is clear it will be raining through it all? How about visiting the biggest inventory sale for incredible architectural treasures, lumber, and parts to build small houses, or big mansions, and have a home to be proud of when finished.

For those who were not aware of Tiny Texas Houses and Discovery Architectural Antiques, both started by Brad W. Kittel in the 1990s, and in 2007, when Tiny Texas Houses was formed with the massive inventories from the largest architectural warehouses in Texas.

All of the warehouses have been mothballed for ten years now. However, many of them will be emptied out now as I am retiring from this business, still with hopes someone else will buy into it and continue onward with my ethos of All-American materials, no plastic, vinyl, or chemicals to inhale like new houses all have. This is my dream; I hoped to offer a generation, but I have run out of time and now must shut it all down if the heirs to this do not show up soon. When my son passed on to the next life early, he left me with no heirs. To that end, I pray that God provides the people to finish what I started, but if it is not His will, it will not happen. So it goes.

I created this acres-wide pond that was thirty feet deep in my early 60s, after losing my son. I just did as I was directed by a higher authority to prove I believed the prophecy that this is what I would see if I dug deep, focused, and had faith. Miracles happen all the time, but few recognize them.

Check out the posts with pictures, and if you wish, I will craft a plan for the parts you pick so as to create an incredible space for your getaway She-shack or Man-cave.

Why not grow a dream into a tiny house, a place to write, draw, paint, or just meditate?

Have you seen the amazing difference a bit of old salvaged trim can make in “tiny home” designs far different from the cookie cutter factory RVs acting like homes.

I only have a few screws holding all the trim on the windows and doors. Once I am happy with how they look and the fit, I will add nails to finish them. Would you believe that some of the windows have only 9 screws holding up all the trim? I love Torx head screws.

I used up the last of a very fine and rare Black Walnut and Butternut trim that has a Black Walnut rope laid into the trim, as well as the borders, which we may repaint white again.

Tiger Oak doors for bathroom walls, parts from at least a dozen houses or more, consolidated and married to other parts and pieces for a lifetime ahead. I wonder how many humans will live here before the house is dead in a hundred years or two, depending on how well the owners take care of it and do not abuse it. How many homes are made this way without a piece of sheetrock or vinyl in this place, without formaldehyde or chemicals that will leach into the lungs of the owners like the new trailers sold as homes by most these days? Few builders, nearly no one builds without imports, toxic chemicals leaching from the parts, or danger from the quality of air from the very start. Why not have a healthy house to live in that is also art?

The chance to build a tiny home or a bigger one for a family or a community house, this is the chance of a lifetime.

If you are interested in building a home with pure materials, contact us for parts and packages to build homes like no one else can, using parts I have ready and stored in warehouses few can imagine. Please let us know if you need help with the design or just getting the materials; we can help.

Create a home that will outlive you, an heirloom for your favorite person to live in when you leave.
